Rawst BerryBerry trees, wild habitats, shopsUsed in Bitter Hamburger Steak
Lum BerryBerry trees, wild habitats, shopsUsed in Bitter Hamburger Steak
Pecha BerryBerry trees, wild habitats, shopsUsed in Fluffy Bread
Aspear BerryBerry trees, wild habitats, shopsUsed in Flavorful Soup

Berry Farming Setup

Step-by-step:

  1. Plant berry trees in appropriate habitats
  2. Wait for berries to grow — berries drop periodically from trees
  3. Assign #gather Pokémon to patrol the area and collect fallen berries
  4. Place a Community Chest within ~12 blocks of the trees for storage
  5. Add comfort items (log chairs, food bowls) for +5% to +50% production boost

Habitat Layout:

  • 4 rows of leaf strips per habitat (optimal spawn rate vs. clutter)
  • Space habitats at least 6 blocks apart
  • Place chests 2–3 blocks from habitat edge

B. Berries → Paints

The #squash Tag

The #squash tag is assigned to Pokémon that process berries and soft materials. These Pokémon can convert raw berries into processed goods (including paints, though specific paint recipes are not documented in current research).

TagRoleKnown Pokémon
#squashBerry/soft material processorNot specified in research

Process Chain:

Raw Berries (from tree) → #gather collects → Community Chest → #squash Pokémon processes → Paint (or other processed material)

Note: Research confirms #squash handles “berries, soft materials” but specific paint recipes and color outputs are not yet documented.

C. Crops

Available Crops

WheatPalette Town shop1 day resetBread
CarrotsPalette Town shop1 day resetCarrot Bread
TomatoesPalette Town shop1 day resetTomato Hamburger Steak
PotatoesPalette Town shop1 day resetPotato Hamburger Steak
PeasPalette Town shop1 day resetNot specified in research

Farming Layout

Step-by-step setup:

  1. Buy seeds from Palette Town shop
  2. Plant seeds in tilled soil
  3. Water crops daily — crops advance one stage per day reset
  4. Install sprinklers (if unlocked) for automatic watering
  5. Harvest at maturity

Tips:

  • Beans and Wheat are the backbone of cooking — always keep a farm plot running
  • Crops can be grown inside houses if space is limited outdoors

D. Cooking Recipes

Unlocking Cooking

  • Rescue Chef Dente (a Greedent in a barrel) in Rocky Ridges
  • Chef Dente teaches 4 cooking tools

Cooking Tips

  • Chef Dente as partner = frequent double meals (he cooks his own batch and gives it to you)
  • For “Any” slots, use neutral ingredients (Leaf, Wheat, Bean) to avoid triggering wrong recipes
  • All flavored meals boost Comfort Level more than raw berries

E. General Crafting

  [Community Chest: Bricks]

Pokémon Roles:

Process#burnCharmander, Vulpix, Growlithe

Tip: Place smelting station near the chest so fire-types can grab clay automatically.

2. Iron Ore → Iron Ingots

[Litter Habitat: Rocky]
    ↓ #litter drops
  Iron Ore
    ↓ #gather collects
  [Community Chest: Ore]
    ↓ #burn Pokémon processes
  [Community Chest: Iron Ingots]

Pokémon Roles:

StepRoleExamples
Drop#litterGrimer, Muk, Trubbish
Collect#gatherAny #gather
Process#burnCharmander, Magby, Litwick

Tip: Iron ore drops less frequently than clay. Use multiple #litter Pokémon or honey-baited spawns.

3. Small Logs → Lumber

[Litter Habitat: Forest]
    ↓ #litter drops
  Small Logs
    ↓ #gather collects
  [Community Chest: Logs]
    ↓ #cutting Pokémon processes
  [Community Chest: Lumber]

Pokémon Roles:

StepRoleExamples
Drop#litterBug-types, forest-dwelling trash
Collect#gatherAny #gather
Process#cuttingAxew, Fraxure, Haxorus

Tip: Axew line is cutting-efficient but rare. Bidoof or other rodent-types may substitute at lower throughput.

4. Waste → Recycled Materials

[Any Litter Habitat]
    ↓ #litter drops
  Waste
    ↓ #gather collects
  [Community Chest: Waste]
    ↓ #recycling Pokémon processes
  [Community Chest: Recycled Materials]

Pokémon Roles:

StepRoleExamples
Drop#litterTrubbish, Grimer, Muk
Collect#gatherAny #gather
Process#recyclingTrubbish, Garbodor

Tip: Trubbish is both #litter AND #recycling — dual-role MVP. Garbodor processes faster but doesn’t drop items.
